Chess Forge Camp

Design it. Build it. Play it.

Chess Forge Camp combines creativity, strategy, and 3D printing into a unique hands-on experience where students design and build their own custom chess set.

Throughout the week, students will learn the fundamentals of chess while creating personalized chess pieces, decorative board panels, and themed artwork using digital design tools and 3D printing technology. Whether they choose fantasy heroes, robots, pirates, dragons, historical figures, or their own original creations, every student's set will be uniquely theirs.

Students will learn how to work within real design constraints, prepare models for 3D printing, assemble their creations, and put them to the test on the chess board.

No prior chess or design experience is required.

Camp Schedule:

• Monday – Chess fundamentals, theme selection, and design planning
• Tuesday – Design custom pieces and decorative board artwork
• Wednesday – Finalize designs and prepare models for printing
• Thursday – Assembly, finishing, and game preparation
• Friday – Showcase, tournament play, and take-home projects
